Osamu Tezuka is the master of Japanese manga comics. This is the third volume of the Buddha series by him. This book chronicles the painful and unpleasant experiences of Prince Siddhartha, who has given up his life as a prince and becomes a monk. He meets with the monk Dhepa whose backstory was introduced in volume one. He takes Siddhartha to meet his master Naradatta who introduces him ways to cleanse the self of all desires and become purer. This leads Buddha transform from his former regal life and attain enlightenment. Tezuka brings the familiar Buddhist story with tragic, hilarious and situations depicting the story of Siddhartha's inner and outer journeys.
