First published in 1937, Dumb Witness is the story of a wealthy spinster who dies through chronic illness. Before her death, however, the spinster had written to Hercule Poirot, Christie's famous Belgian detective, that she feared a murder attempt on her. The story takes us through Poirot's attempt at resolving the case.
