Kardamom Kisses is the story of Disha (Badi) and Drupa (Choti), two sisters whose parents, Kedar is from Punjab and Mangala from Kerala. The story unfolds with the dissolution of Kedar and Mangala's romance in the face of their cultural incompatibility that leads to separation. These two young siblings, their mother and a set of dysfunctional relatives all live in a small town in Kerala. Kedar takes her daughters away to Delhi, where he lives with his second wife. Drupa and Disha must adapt to their step-mother, to new set of Punjabi relatives and to life in Delhi.
