First published in 1934, Murder on the Orient Express features Christie's famous detective Hercules Poirot who is investigating a murder case of an American businessman. Prior to the murder, the businessman had approached Poirot to investigate threats to the former's life. The businessman is killed only a day later in the same compartment in which Poirot was travelling. The ensuing investigation leads Poirot through a trail that could only culminate in two possible situations: first - someone got onto the speeding train from outside, killed the businessman and jumped off the running train, or second - everybody in the train was involved in the killing.
