The book talks about trials, tribulations and life of Dr. Prakash and Dr. Manda Amte and his brother Dr. Vikas Amte at a place called Hemalkasa in the district of Gadchiroli in Maharashtra. They worked on rehabilitating and exposing the tribe Madiya Gond to the modern world.
