Predator is a real account-crime book by Jack Olsen. Mac Smith is a a serial rapist raised by young, seemingly psychotic parents. Olsen describes how personalities such as Mac Smith's are formed. He portrays Mac as a well-rounded individual yet, Mac is truly sick, manipulative and a big psychopath. This book is also an account of Steve Titus, an innocent, rising young executive. He was convicted of a rape charge in 1981 by the judiciary system and police. His life was destroyed where he lost his job and the woman he loved. He suffered for 8 months before his heart attack. Olsen also talks about Paul Henderson, a newsman who risked his career to prove Titus's innocence and the violent policeman, Ronald Parker who distorted evidences to convict Titus. A compelling read in true crime.
