Published in 2009, this novel is a legal thriller. Kyle McAvoy, the protagonist, is a bright law grad from Yale who joins a large law firm under duress. Once there, Kyle gets dragged into litigations involving deadly drug cartels and powerful defence contractors who want him to lie, steal and even kill. Full of an ensemble cast of characters from drug addict and boisterous defence czars to quiet and pretty cubicle colleague, the novel is a page turner.
