This collection of twelve short stories, the final in the Sherlock Holmes series, adds on to the masterpieces of this detective fiction. As always Holmes with his deductive and acting skills and Watson with his modesty and loyalty solves several mystery cases. The stories are marked by realistic and dark psychological portrayal of the villains. Doyle's writing is as good in these stories as anywhere else. These stories contain some of the wittiest repartee by Holmes and Watson, with Holmes being very sarcastic. This case book is another entertaining experience for all Sherlock fans as well as for others.
