Osamu Tezuka is the master of Japanese manga comics. This is the second volume of the Buddha series filled with several characters and events invented by him. In this book, the character of Siddhartha is more squarely in the center compared to the volume one. His childhood, his early years as prince and the society he came from, is explored through the envisions of Tezuka and his sketches. Siddhartha passes through a series of events compelling him to run away from his home. Along with Tatta, mentioned in volume one, he travels across India and learns of the suffering, diseases and cruel customs of the outside world from which he has always been guarded against. With fusion of humor and tragedy read it to discover the life within the landscape and historic society of Siddhartha.
