In this book eminent physicists Leonard Mlodinow and Stephen Hawking present their theories to explain the various mysteries of the universe in a very non technical language. They argue that the origin of the universe can be explained in a very scientific manner without invoking a supreme entity. They initially explain our understanding of the universe though the ages. Starting with the Greeks who based nature on laws. Later they present the work of Copernicus who proposed the heliocentric model of the universe. They further explain in agreement with the M-theory that there may be more than one Earth in the universe. In fact they propose that there are more than one universe. Each universe with many solar systems and many more planets like Earth that support life. The M-theory proposes a 11 dimensional model of the universe and is the only theory that unifies all consistent versions of string theory. This is the theory that the authors propose to explain the mysteries of the universe.
