Young orphaned, Sai, comes to her grandfather, a retired judge, who stays in an isolated house in the Himalayas. Being too afraid to beg for his love, she ends up being raised by the cook of the house. He is the one who manages the household. The cook's son, Biju is in New York, struggling to make a life in the US. So the cook projects all of his affection on Sai.
